If Vermeer's A Girl Reading a Letter by an Open Window were a place, it would be.......
Amsterdam!
Naturally, I had to choose Amsterdam as it's in Holland, where Vermeer is from and the great tradition of Holland painters was born.
Just look at the lines of the buildings, the color palette, and the boats and it feels like a Vermeer painting. Imagine being inside one of those windows and it's the same room where Vermeer created many of his paintings. If Vermeer were alive today what would he have taken snapshots of. Would he have chosen landscapes or people?
